"HE TOUCHED ME: THE GOSPEL MUSIC OF ELVIS PRESLEY"
According to an article in the 09 Oct.'99 issue of Billboard, there will be a two video, two CD set with the above title coming out on 16 Nov.'99.
The two videos are being distributed by Coming Home Music via EMI while the 2 CD set is being distributed by BMG.
The two videos will be available as part of a special collector's book-type package, which also includes the companion audio, for $89.95.
Each video can be bought separately for $29.98. Each video is 90 minutes in length.
The first tape covers Elvis' childhood and early career and will be presented on The Nashville Network in a one hour shortened version on 20 Nov.'99.
The second volume concerns the remainder of Elvis' career and life and will be shown on TNN as a one hour special on 08 Jan. 2000.
The videos contain comments by people associated with Elvis including Tony Brown, Jordinaires, Stamps, Statesmen, Imperials, and Sweet Inspirations.
The article says the documentary footage is compelling.
Some footage was obtained from the estate and never before available.
It appears this will be sold at retail along with it being promoted via the various home shopping networks.
PS
RCA-New York said the label does not have a 16 Nov.'99 street date.
Therefore, they think this release must be through RCA Special Products.
However, that's another area of the company and RCA-New York has no information on their schedule.

CERYS MATTHEWS covers Chris Montez's 1966 classic 'The More I See You' on the soundtrack to the new Ray Winstone romantic comedy, Fanny & Elvis.
It's the second cover version Matthews has recorded this year and follows her take on Ray Charles and Betty Carter's 'Baby It's Cold Outside', which appears on the Tom Jones duet album 'Reload'.
Released on November 22 through BMG, the soundtrack to Fanny & Elvis also contains previously released material from Elvis Presley, Haircut 100 and Dusty Springfield.
Fanny & Elvis is released on November 19.
